Your program receives 95% of every dollar donated. ABF retains a 5% administrative fee to cover 501(c)(3) operations and donor receipting.
When you run a campaign through ABF, donations are made to the Arizona Boosters Foundation — a verified 501(c)(3) — not to your program directly. This is what makes them tax-deductible. As the sponsoring nonprofit, ABF retains legal discretion and control over donated funds, which is an IRS requirement for tax-deductible charitable giving. In practice, ABF directs disbursements to your program in support of your charitable sports activity. Donations cannot be legally earmarked for a single named individual and remain tax-deductible. If your program discontinues before disbursement, ABF applies the funds to a similar charitable sports purpose. The 5% administrative fee covers 501(c)(3) operations, payment processing, and donor receipting — your program receives 95 cents of every dollar donated.
